For Expert Painter

I built you a website. It is yours either way.

You have not spoken to me yet, so here it is up front. I built the thing first, it is finished, and you can look at it before you decide anything.

Open the site I built you → Call me Text me Interior, exterior, cabinets, drywall, ceilings, colour consultation, and the neighbourhoods you work in. Your number is on every page.
Where you are right now

Before I built anything I went looking for you the way a customer would.

I searched your business name and got HomeStars, Facebook, CertaPro, Student Works and nine other painting companies. Nothing of yours. Not because you are hard to work with, but because there is nothing of yours out there to find.

What I did find was you listed on other people's sites, five of them, and every one puts your competitors on the same page as you.

Your neighbours on Nextdoor already recommend you. That is the hardest part of this and you have done it. It just stops at the edge of the people who have already met you.

Where your name shows up

You are already listed in five places. None of them are yours.

Every one of those ranks for your name instead of you, and every one of them puts three other painters on the same page as you. A customer who went looking for you has to pick you out of a list of your competitors.

About the site I sent you

That is a one page sample. It is not the real thing.

It was built to show you what your own site could look like, with your trade, your areas and your number on it. The full build is not one page. It is an About page, a Contact page, a page for every service you offer, and a page for every community you work in, each one written about that place rather than the same text with the name swapped.

That is the part that does the work. A single page can say you paint in Calgary. Twenty pages can say you do cabinet refinishing in Tuscany, and that is what somebody in Tuscany actually types.

Why a stranger built you a website

The honest answer.

I pick a few local businesses I think I can get more work for, build the first piece properly, and send it. Most people never reply. A couple of them call me. One or two become customers, and that pays for all the ones that did not.

That is the whole business model. If this goes nowhere you keep the site and I have lost an afternoon.

What happens after you tap

  1. You call or text me. Fifteen minutes. I ask what you actually want more of, interiors or exteriors or cabinets, and which parts of town are worth the drive.
  2. We register your domain, in your name. About twelve dollars. It is yours, on your account, whether you and I carry on or not.
  3. We set up your Google Business Profile together. On your own Google account, so you own it. I take manager access to run it for you.
  4. We start on reviews. Every job you finish from here is a chance at one. I ask for them on your behalf so you do not have to remember.
  5. Every month you get a report you can read. How many people found you, what they searched for, how many called.
Two quick ones

Where does most of your work come from right now?

Got it.

And what would you rather have more of?

Got it.

What it looks like by spring

On the money, plainly. $297 a month is less than one interior. If it brings you one extra job a month you are well ahead of it. If it brings you none, you cancel, and you keep the domain and the Google profile either way.

Website and Google profile, managed
$297 / month + GST
  • The site you are about to look at, live on your own domain name, hosted and kept working
  • Your Google Business Profile set up with you, verified, and managed every month
  • Photos of your actual jobs posted to the profile
  • Review requests sent for you, and every review answered
  • A monthly report in plain English. No contract, cancel any time
Website only, you drive
$97 / month + GST
  • The site live on your own domain, hosted, secured and kept working
  • You set up your own Google Business Profile. It is free, it takes an afternoon, and I send you exactly what to put in every field so you are not guessing
  • I help you get the first few reviews started

Nobody manages the profile, posts the job photos, or answers the reviews. That is the part that brings the calls.
